Expansion : Horizons is coming !

24/03/2022
Greetings,

After many months of development, we present you our new extension named: Horizons.
Note: Unfortunately, the screenshots are in French because the translation is still in progress.

  • Explore 9 new dungeons

In this expansion, you will have to face 9 ancient bosses in their divine versions: Farrell, Endairon, Lavalon, Mutisha, Satyre, Akanai, Paris, Bone Dragon and finally Elga.

The Farrell and Endairon dungeons have undergone slight modifications while the others have been completely redone.
In addition, Aram will include a new mechanic which is the double jump and the dungeon of Pâris will no longer be done in the form of floors but in a "boss rush" which will consist of facing the bosses in a row.

You can play the dungeons alone or in groups of 2 to 4 players. Indeed, the difficulty of the dungeon will depend on the number of players in the group.
Each dungeon will apply a malus that can be removed by equipping a dungeon-specific item that you will obtain by completing the new story quests.

Finally, each dungeon will allow you to obtain different items such as new pets, premium weapons as well as Divine Stones specific to each class and each type of item which will allow you to improve your Seraphic equipment. We'll come back to this in a paragraph dedicated to equipment below.

Divine Stones are obtained randomly at the end of dungeons or can be traded to a new NPC: The Divine Blacksmith with Divine Stone Residue that you will obtain by completing repeatable quests associated with each dungeon.
You will also be able to trade Divine Stone Residue by giving Divine Stones to the Divine Blacksmith.

  • Evolution of equipment

You now have the ability to upgrade your Seraphic gear to Divine Seraphic.
To do this, you will need 2 Seraphic Orbs of each color and 3 Divine Stones associated with the type of item and your class.
For example, to upgrade a Seraphic Dragon Helmet, you will need 3 Divine Stones for Dragon Helmet.
When transforming into a Divine, you will retain your reinforcements and amplifications. However, you will lose the enchantment level.
Please note that the Divine form of Seraphic equipment is considered a new item and therefore will break the set bonus of your regular Seraphic equipment. In order to get the set bonus, you will need to upgrade all of your Seraphic equipment to Divine Seraphic.

To upgrade your equipment, go to any blacksmith and choose the "Divine Forge" option.

  • Equipment upgrade

Once your Seraphic equipment has evolved into Divine Seraphic, you have the ability to upgrade it from 1* to 10*.
To do this, you will need 2 Seraphic Orbs of each color and Divine Stone Residue associated with the item type.
For example, to upgrade a Divine Dragon Seraphic Helmet to a 1* Divine Dragon Seraphic Helmet, you'll need 10 Divine Stone Helmet residue.
When upgrading Divine items, you will keep your reinforcements, amplifications and enchantments.
Please note that upgraded Divine items are considered new items and therefore will break the set bonus of your Divine Seraphic equipment. To benefit from the set bonus, you will have to upgrade all your Divine Seraphic equipment to Divine Seraphic 1* and so on until 10*.

To upgrade your equipment, go to any blacksmith and choose the "Divine Forge" option.

  • Divine equipment enchantment

In order to enchant a Divine item, you will need Divine Protection Scrolls.
Divine Protection Scrolls can be obtained by trading with the Divine Blacksmith NPC located in the Prison of Skies for 4 Ordinary Protection Scrolls + 2 Superior Protection Scrolls.
They can also be obtained at the end of the new mission zone located in the Prison of Heaven.

  • Flying mounts

With Horizons, you have the ability to fly with certain mounts in the following areas: Odelia, Port of the Winds, Arcadia, Skies Path and Prison of the skies.

Here are the mounts that will be able to fly at the release of the expansion: Wooden Cane, Bat Broomstick, Pumpkin Broom, Dragon Wing, Hover Ride, Alpha Trabot, Mega Trabot, Tera Trabot, Feilon, Phoenix, Phoenix Boreal, Phoenix of Love, Burning Phoenix, S_201, X_201 and Z_201.

In order to fly, you will need to get on your mount and then activate the pet skill "Fly". The "Shift" key will allow you to go up in the air and the "V" key to go down.
These two keys are fully configurable in the game options so you can set the keys that suit you best.

There are 5 levels on the skill "Fly". The higher the level, the higher the flight speed.
Level 5 is reserved for flash sales pets.
A Feilon with the fly skill nv.1 is given as a gift in a new quest.

Note: The list of flying zones and flying mounts will evolve in future updates and as needed.

  • New mission zone

A new area called "Prison of the skies" has been added. You will be able to access it by flying mount through the Skies Path.
In this new area you will find the Divine Blacksmith and a brand new mission area where you can obtain components to trade for Corrupted Souls and Scrolls of Corruption at the Divine Blacksmith.

  • Old content

- Alruwman :

To accompany the release of our expansion, we are reducing the time it takes to obtain the classic Seraphic Set as follows: repeatable quests and the daily quest will yield twice as many Seraphic Orbs and Tokens.
In addition, a 10% monster life reduction in Alruwman dungeons will be applied.

- Isoris :

Isoris bosses will have their HP numbers lowered.

- Arcadia :

The repeatable quests as well as the celestial daily quest will give 2 times more components.

  • Closing words

In addition, there are over 70 new story quests and 19 new medals.

The Horizons expansion will be officially released on Friday, April 1, 2022 (and that's no April Fool's Day).
The time and duration of the maintenance will be announced the day before.

This is the biggest expansion in terms of content and features since 2015. We hope you enjoy it and have a great time on this new adventure.

  • Acknowledgements

A big thank you to all the members of our team without whom this extension would not have been possible as well as to all the additional players who tested and advised us on the various choices made.

  • Coming soon

A second part of this expansion will be released later this year or early next year depending on the progress of players in the current content.
Indeed, it will mainly concern the jewelry.

We will also bring back the seasonal server in July 2022 for a season 2 with new rewards.

We haven't forgotten about PvP though: we will work on a PvP mode that will integrate Polemos on Atlas with a matchmaking system. Polemos balancing will be applied as well as standardized statistics in this mode.
We will give more information in due course via an announcement.

Sincerely,

The Dragonica Team
